Hakeem Brown

Hakeem Brown was elected to the Vallejo City Council in 2018 after receiving the most votes - 23,288 - amid a sense of optimism that he would be a champion for the voiceless in town. Brown attempted to parlay that optimism into a mayoral bid two years later but revelations of his criminal history of domestic violence derailed his campaign and he lost. Brown decided against running for a second term in 2022. Brown operates a cannabis business, Life Enhancement Services, in North Vallejo.
