Mina Loera-Diaz was elected to the Vallejo City Council in 2020 to represent the newly created District 3 - Glen Cove. She unsuccessfully ran for city council in November 2016 - placing 5th out of three available seats. Loera-Diaz is a real estate agent and founded the community organization Diaz & Loera Centro Latino in Vallejo. Her term ends in January 2025.
