VALLEJO — The Vallejo Gay Network will celebrate Pride Month with a community potluck on Sunday, the Second Saturday Makers Market returns to the waterfront, and the annual Woofstock dog show returns to Solano County fairgrounds.
Vallejo Gay Network’s annual Pride celebration will take place in Mare Island’s historic Alden Park on Sunday, with music, entertainment and the camaraderie of a community potluck.
The second Saturday of the month will bring the Vallejo Makers Market back to the waterfront, with over 60 local business and live DJs. Among the many artisans and community groups present, Co-Poet Laureate Jacalyn Eyvonne will have a booth that offers poetry writing and other creative activities for young people.
The four-day Woofstock dog show will begin on Thursday at the Solano County Fairgrounds. One of the biggest dog shows in California, the tie-dye themed Woofstock includes best-of-breed contests, dog-related events, vendors, and costume contests.
One of Vallejo’s more unusual events is Re:Sound Sun, which will transform an empty warehouse at the Mare Island Historic Core into an immersive audio-visual experience on Saturday afternoon.
Check the listings below for more fun things to do in Vallejo. Choose from a variety of live music, go to a baseball game, find a treasure at a neighborhood vintage yard sale, join a running group, go kayaking, or take in an art show.
